It’s Ronald McDonald House Charities of Richmond’s birthday week!  

On April 15th, the Ronald McDonald House on Monument Avenue celebrates 42 years since being renovated and opening. For 42 years we have kept families close because of the tremendous support of our donors, volunteers and community partners. During this time, we’ll not only look to the future but look back and remember where we started.  

RMHC Richmond has been working both in-house and in-hospital to ease the burden and stress of families who have a child receiving medical treatment. It all started when RMHC Richmond first opened its doors to the House on Monument Avenue on April 15, 1980.
